I put this ColorPicker up for download about a year ago. Recently, I have updated it (some minor tweaks), and here it is again. When you run ColorPicker, you would see a screen similar to the below. This application is a top-level window; you can hide it when you are not using it. When you do this, it will minimize to an icon into the system tray (see right). To activate it again, either double click the icon in the system tray or right click and choose "show". To exit the program, either click the "Exit" button on the form or choose "Exit" on the context menu in the system tray.

Color Picker

Since this application looks at the pixel color where the mouse pointer is located, the color it shows might be different than what you see in the area where you are picking the color when the area contains highly dithered colors. The program detects every left mouse click event outside its main form and detects the color at the location where the mouse was clicked. To save the result, you will need to copy the result out before it gets changed again.
